Thanks to our judges George Bishop, Love Seawright, Dian Cuccinello, Katharine Endicott, Tony DiRomualdo, Judy B Lane, Judy Lane (yes we had two) and Liz Bishop, and our coordinators Yona Carmichael, Lee Means, Susan Pepple, Alison Saylor, and Carly Saylor.

 

Also, many thanks to all who supported our Pumpkins on the Common fundraiser, either by purchasing pumpkins, entering the Pumpkin contest, or attending the Festival Saturday October 20. Proceeds from the event will support a variety of non-profit organizations in our community.

Pumpkin carving Print E-mail

Frank DeSimone of Carlisle will demonstrate the art of pumpkin carving at 2:00 pm on Saturday October 20 at the Pumpkin Festival. If the  weather is good he will be outside on the Common, if it is wet or too cold he will be inside Union Hall. Free admission!

Scarecrow Contest  

 

Make a scarecrow of any size up to 6 feet tall suitable for

outdoor display. 

 

Bring your scarecrow entry to The First Religious Society in

Carlisle on Friday October 12, 3:00 pm -7:00 pm

 

Judging will be based upon originality, creativity,

craftsmanship, detailing, and “smile factor”

 

Scarecrows will be judged during the Harvest Fair and remain

on outdoor display in the church yard all week. 

 

Group entries are encouraged.
